INSURANCE RECOGNIZES AGENCY: Auto Owners Insurance has announced that Chris Black Insurance of Lutz was named one of the Top 10 growth agencies for the company in the Lakeland region for 2015. ATLANTA ? “Slavery at Jefferson’s Monticello: How the Word Is Passed Down” opens provocatively. A life size bronze of the nation’s third president commands attention the moment a viewer enters the gallery at the Atlanta History Center. Behind the statue, rising above it, is a semicircular wall of names ordered alphabetically, beginning with “Abby” and ending with “Name Unknown.” The series of first names, which number more than 600, are those of the enslaved people Jefferson owned in his lifetime.
The road course included 11 turns with uphill and downhill sections, a straightaway just shy of mile, a bridge and underpass as well as a lake opposite the start/finish line. Most of the drivers were weekend racers and the lack of safety features along with dangerous curves were more risk than they were willing to take for a hobby. The racetrack was a two mile figure eight course with a bridge between turns 3 and 4.
Man and GuitarAlso while in the pocket park, sit down and enjoy the man playing the guitar with his dog. His guitar case is open by his side so that you can give him all of your spare change while you listen. After all, he is THAT good! At least the little dog certainly thinks so.
The highlights of the ceremony,though, are the daring stunts performed by the 150 or so riders all with their horses galloping at full speed. Some carry a rifle in one arm and shoot small paper targets set on the ground. Others hang off the side of their horses to snatch white ribbons off the field.
An update : my little moringa plantThe Moringa seeds are very resilient. They survive alongside the mother tree, and grow into seedlings just being left on the ground. My sister picked up a few very small seedlings from the walkway. On the day of the incident, he had a scuffle with one Rafaqat Masih, over which, the latter hit the victim with a knife. As a result, he suffered multiple injuries and died in hospital. A case has been registered against the accused with no arrest till the filing of this report.
